Event Viewer

The backup agent writes events to the Windows log named "Applications". These logged events only concern the end of a backup or errors occurring during the backup process.

The events have the following characteristics:

  • ID: 1
  • Source: ArxOne
  • The level reflects the severity:
    • Information: no error
    • Warning: the operation completed successfully, but there is an issue
    • Error: something interfered with all or part of the operation

Each event consists of a code followed by a text, for example:

2.1.1.10.1.0 : transfer completed

In this example, the code starting with 2.1.1.10.1 indicates the end of a backup, and the final 0 indicates a normal completion.

There are two categories of codes:

  • 2.1.1.10.1.* for backup completions
  • 2.1.10.* for possible file errors or issues related to the backup
